About this role
Pepperdine University Human Resources invites qualified individuals to join its Temporary Talent Pool. This placement program connects candidates with temporary, on-call, or short-term assignments across Pepperdine’s operational areas and schools. Individuals accepted into the Temporary Talent Pool may be referred to hiring departments as opportunities arise based on their qualifications, availability, campus preferences, and departmental needs.
Temporary assignments offer a unique opportunity to become familiar with Pepperdine's people, culture, and mission while gaining valuable experience in higher education. The program is ideal for individuals seeking flexible employment, exploring career opportunities at Pepperdine, or building professional experience through a variety of assignments.
Assignments support departments across the University by providing administrative, operational, and project-based assistance during employee absences, extended leaves, special projects, and other periods of increased staffing needs.
Acceptance into the Temporary Talent Pool does not guarantee placement in a temporary assignment.

Skills and Qualifications
Required:

Experience providing administrative, customer service, or other professional support in an office or customer-facing environment.

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.

Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and work independently with minimal supervision.

This is a Temporary, non-exempt position with varying hours per week dependent on University needs.
Expected Pay Rate: $18.47 - $22.50 per hour
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as the nature of the assignment, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
