PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our Colorado Springs,CO location.

 

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide engineering support to our Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO location. Candidate will serve as an on-site technical SME supporting the integration of CyDER, a cyber training range. Additional responsibilities include liaison between CyDER engineering development teams and customers/stakeholders, including other end users for STARCOM's cyber range development efforts.

 

Duties:

  • Interact with government stakeholders on cyber range design, development, and integration activities
  • Coordinate requirements and user feedback with cyber engineering development team.
  • Support development and integration roadmap planning for cyber range development efforts.
  • Support cyber test and training events.
  • As effort grows, help lead multidisciplinary teams in support of cyber test and training range development and integration efforts.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 8-15+ years DoD network engineering experience.
  • DOD 8140 IAT Level II.
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory configuration, including Domain Controllers, Exchange, and DNS.
  • Experience with operating systems, including Windows and Linux, application behaviors, and network traffic.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies, Dell VxRail systems, and related infrastructure components.
  • Experience with defensive cyber security tools and technologies.
  • Travel: 15-25%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • An active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active TS/SCI clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems

Desired Skills:

  • Extensive experience with USAF or USSF Cyber Range expertise.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and automation including Terraform and Ansible.
  • 10 years of DoD cyber engineering.
  • DoD cyber test experience.
  • Direct experience supporting Space Force in cybersecurity or cyber engineering.
  • DoD Red and/or blue team experience (cyber operator, CPT, OCO, etc.)

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is ~$125,000 - $170,000; however, PeopleTec considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and critical skills.
