What You'll Do
- Take ownership of complex strategic workstreams and mid-size projects end-to-end, structuring problems, building fact bases, and synthesising findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Utilise market research, competitive assessments, and market sizing exercises to inform strategic choices across Pearson's business units
- Build financial models and business cases that evaluate strategic options, define assumptions, identify risks, and articulate KPIs
- Produce high-quality executive-ready materials including presentations, memos, and briefing documents tailored to internal stakeholder needs
- Partner with colleagues across product, commercial, finance, and corporate development to support cross-functional strategic initiatives
- Monitor KPIs and track progress of strategic initiatives, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of Group Strategy planning processes
- Mentor colleagues by sharing analytical methods, frameworks, and communication best practices
What You'll Bring
Required:
- Approximately 2–5 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business development, or a related field within a multinational or complex organisation
- Proven ability to independently execute complex analyses and deliver structured, insight-driven recommendations across strategic projects
- Strong financial modelling and business case development skills, with comfort working across ambiguous problem spaces and imperfect information
- Excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and visual formats; proficient in producing high-quality PowerPoint presentations, Excel models, and documents
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, maintaining rigour and reliability under time pressure
- Strong structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply and adapt analytical frameworks to decompose complex challenges
- Collaborative team player who builds effective working relationships across functions and levels, and is equally capable of working independently
- Commercially minded, with the ability to quickly understand key business drivers and translate them into clear strategic implications
- Intellectually curious, with a proactive approach to learning and a genuine interest in education, technology, or related sectors
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with AI-enabled edtech, skills ecosystems, or credential platforms
- MBA or postgraduate qualification welcome but not required
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $110,000 - $160,000.
