About the Role:

The Hotel Guest Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring guests have a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment during their stay. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas, directly impacting guest satisfaction and the hotel's reputation. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work independently while adhering to established procedures and safety standards. The Hotel Room Attendant contributes to the overall guest experience by promptly addressing any room-related needs or concerns. Ultimately, this position supports the Pearl's commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with hotel safety and sanitation standards.
  • Basic knowledge of guest service principles.
  • Must be willing to “pitch in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.

  • Multilingual skills to assist a diverse guest population.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.
  • Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
  • Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
  • Push and pull the vacuum throughout the entire room and empty the trash.
  • Replenish the guest room with amenities, linens, and supplies.
  • Sign for room keys, retrieve them, push them to assigned rooms, and restock the heavy cart. 
  • Visually inspect the room for cleanliness and appearance, and signify completion of the room.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report any damages or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored properly in accordance with hotel policies and safety guidelines.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries regarding room service.
