Summary
The Packaging Designer is responsible for the conceptual design, and execution of packaging solutions that enhance brand presentation, protect products, and drive efficiencies throughout manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation operations. This role collaborates with production, sales, logistics and account management to develop innovative packaging solutions that reduce shipping costs, optimize material usage, improve handling efficiencies, and meet customer expectations. The Packaging Designer balances creativity with technical expertise to deliver packaging solutions that are visually compelling, cost-effective, and operationally efficient. partners.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Develops new designs and offers improvements on existing designs for cost reduction, performance enhancements, innovations, etc.
Design packaging structures that optimize product protection, manufacturing efficiency, transportation, and retail presentation.
Manages and adhere to established schedules and budgets while ensuring quality standards are met
Produce packaging layouts, dielines, specifications, renderings, and production-ready packaging.
Processes samples and sample requests timely and accurately providing CAD drawings and tooling estimates
Generates creative solutions, translates concepts and information into images and interprets feedback to modify designs
Continually develops a thorough understand of the CAD system and cutting table
Performs other duties as assigned

Strong understanding of packaging materials including corrugate, folding cartons, foam and protective packaging.
Experience developing packaging specifications and manufacturing documentation.
Knowledge of packaging testing methodologies and industry standards.

Education/Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Design, Packaging, or related field; and/or three to five years of related experience with retail package design
Experience
Knowledge of Design software including Esko Artios Cad, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workday.
