Summary

The Logistics Coordinator’s responsibilities include processing outbound shipments and receiving materials efficiently and accurately through the company’s ERP system and support. They play an important role in ensuring productive and efficient management of the order cycle. The Logistics Coordinator overall goal is to manage the entire process, enhancing business growth, ensuring sustainability, and increasing customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Prepares goods for shipment, inspects for proper packaging and documentation ensuring shipments will arrive on time and intact without damage
Correctly chooses routing method and service level for shipments utilizing company’s existing common carriers, truck load carriers, freight forwarders, air freight & parcel providers depending on product, packaging and delivery deadlines to meet customer needs
Enters shipments in FedEx Shipmanager and UPS Wordship software programs
Participates and oversees cycle counting/reconciliation activities
Operates forklift or uses hand-truck to move raw materials and finished goods on and off trucks and within the warehouse
Runs daily reports, and file shipping and receiving records filed daily

Competencies and Skills

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Inventory maintenance experience a plus
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Ability to demonstrate and apply PD’s workplace values
Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment

Education/Certification

High School Diploma

Prefer 2 year technical/business degree or equivalent

Experience

2 years of experience in shipping and receiving
Experience using FedEx Shipmanager, UPS Worldship, and Microsoft Office Products
1 year experience on sit-down forklift

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workday
