Summary
The Die Cutter is responsible for setting up, adjusting, monitoring, and running die cutting presses and oversee the stripping of the die cut parts. The Die Cutter is responsible for detecting cutting defects and informing the manager of possible problems.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Rubbers and sets up dies
Sets-up die presses and makes ready for cutting
Sets-up stripping unit on die press
Get first off approved for cutting
Watch for Die cutting defects, and inform manager or production planner of possible problems
Ability to make die alterations
Use fork truck and other equipment to move stock and other supplies as needed.
Follow all safety and workplace rules and policies
Help others as directed or when needed with other production operations
Perform routine maintenance and assists with repairs of equipment
Flexibility to move between other jobs, job classifications and buildings as directed by management
Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment

Competencies and Skills
Technical Die Cutting knowledge
Be able to set up both the clam shell and semi-auto die press
Be able to make-ready dies for the press
Ability and willingness to follow verbal and written direction
Ability and willingness to stay focused on the job
Know how to use and operate fork trucks and other equipment need to arrange stocks and supplies
Ability to direct other on the team as needed to increase productivity
Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems that arise
Ability to demonstrate and apply our workplace values
Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
Education/Certification
High School Diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workday
