About this role

Position: Dental Hygienist

Location: Calgary, AB

Clinic: Living Wellness

We know that great hygiene care goes beyond clean teeth — it’s about supporting overall wellness, creating meaningful connections, and helping patients feel healthy and confident from the inside out. We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our holistic-focused team. Whether you're early in your career or bring years of experience, you'll be joining a supportive, professional environment where patient-centered care, education, and wellness are at the heart of everything we do.

Specifics about the role:

  • Part-time
  • Schedule:
    • Mondays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM & Fridays: 7:00 AM - 2:00
    • Tuesdays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM alternating weeks
    • 2 Saturdays a month from 9:00-3:00.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform a full range of clinical hygiene services — including scaling, root planing, polishing, with a gentle, wellness-focused approach.
  • Assess and case type patients in alignment with clinical protocols to ensure thoughtful, personalized care plans that support both oral and overall health.
  • Act as an oral health educator, helping patients understand the connection between oral health and whole-body wellness while guiding them toward healthy, preventative habits.
  • Build strong, trusting patient relationships through empathy, active listening, and compassionate care.
  • Create a calm, supportive, and tailored experience for every patient based on their individual needs, comfort levels, and health goals.
  • Collaborate with a like-minded clinical team that values holistic care, patient education, and long-term wellness outcomes.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Completion of a recognized Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
  • Registered Dental Hygienist status in good standing in Alberta.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills — you’re as comfortable educating patients as you are delivering exceptional clinical care.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills with the ability to manage a busy schedule while maintaining a calm, patient-focused approach.
  • A collaborative spirit and genuine passion for patient wellness and preventative care.
  • Experience with Dentrix and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) is considered an asset.
