Journeyman Electrician

Summary

Panhandle Oilfield Services is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support the construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of electrical and automation systems for oil and gas facilities. This position is responsible for performing quality electrical work while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer specifications and applicable codes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment at oil and gas facilities
Perform electrical work associated with new construction projects and facility upgrades
Install and support automation and electrical systems, including instrumentation and related equipment
Diagnose and repair existing electrical systems to minimize downtime and maintain operational reliability
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and electrical diagrams
Coordinate work with supervisors, operations personnel, customers, and other trades to complete projects efficiently
Inspect electrical systems and identify repair or preventative maintenance needs
Maintain accurate records, material requests, and work documentation
Follow all company safety policies and applicable local, state, and federal electrical codes
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
Participate in training and safety meetings as required
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid Journeyman Electrician License required
Minimum of four years of commercial, industrial, or oilfield electrical experience preferred
Experience with oil and gas facilities, instrumentation, and automation systems preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required

Work Environment

Combination of field, shop, and customer locations
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, heavy equipment, and active job sites
Overtime, weekends, and occasional travel may be required based on operational needs

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to work safely around energized equipment and in varying environmental conditions
Ability to wear required PPE and comply with all safety requirements
Must be able to pass a company drug screen and background check
