What You'll Get To Do:

The Sr. Planning Analyst, while sharing responsibilities with the surrounding planning functions, will take on the following roles:

Serve as a commercial and marketing function by collecting and analyzing sales and market data. Support PIDSA’s strategic planning activities led by the Strategic Planning Director. Strengthen PIDSA’s governance, including Information Security Management and export control. Operate PIDSA’s management cycle, including the facilitation of various regular meetings.

Commercial and marketing function

  • Macro market index and data analysis
  • Market demand / Share analysis
  • Sales data analysis

Support for PIDSA growth strategy

  • Collect information and data in collaboration with Sales organization
  • Visualize strategic idea of PIDSA management

Risk management and Governance

  • Manage company rule and regulation (i.e. In case of ISM with PID DTCD ISM office and PEXNA)
  • Educate / Train employees through IT tool, guideline documents, official notice, newsletters.
  • Report Incident/Event to relevant organization and follow up preventive actions
    Especially Information Security Management is the primary key role.

Management cycle operation

  • Design regular meetings of PIDSA based on defined roles and responsibilities and KPIs of each organization.
  • Set up meetings for report and discussion
  • Summarize outcome and action of the meeting

Scope:

  • Reports to Planning Vice President
  • No direct reports, individual contributor.
  • Plays a key role in providing the necessary information and analysis for the company to formulate its business plans and objectives.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Education & ExperienceDegree required/preferred

  • A four year degree in business/marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Five or more years of specific analysis /business planning experience is required.
  • Strong Copilot, Excel and Power Point skills required, Power BI is preferred.
  • This position is located in Newark, NJ.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Japanese are required.

Competencies: 

  • Ability to multitask, problem solving, collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills are required.
  • Ability to operate PC and appropriate software programs is required to accomplish specific duties.
  • Good understanding of cultural diversity.
  • Strong problem solving, communication and collaboration skills

Communications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Japanese are required.

Other Requirements: 

  • Work in office three days a week as minimum.
  • Attend Meetings with Japan in the evening time

The wage range of $106,000 - $115,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
