Overview

The primary responsibility of the Parts Clerk is to fulfill part requests and assist in the overall functions of the parts department.
Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Fill customer and technician part requests/orders in a timely manner

  • Determine correct part numbers and “pick” parts for orders received

  • Use computer based system to enter/record required data

  • Receive/process product from vendors

  • Maintain parts/model data from a variety of sources

  • Maintain accurate inventory records

  • Stock incoming inventory in the correct location

  • Recommend layout improvements to the parts department manager and assist in physical rearrangement of layout

  • Develop comprehensive understanding of Schematic Manuals

  • Assemble/Disassemble whole units and/or components as needed

  • Maintain the parts department in clean and orderly manner

  • Arrange for delivery or shipment of parts as required

  • Conduct periodic inventory audits and resolve discrepancies

  • Perform data input of required material

  • Complete accurate defective part documentation

  • Miscellaneous daily tasks including shipping support and clean-up activities

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent

  • Must possess basic knowledge of electronic parts such as IC, transistor, PCB, etc.

  • Ability to view complex part numbers and handle very small components

  • Possess good organizational and decision-making skills

  • Ability to read and interpret parts diagrams and technical manuals

  • Effective communication skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Working knowledge of Windows

  • Ability to learn new applications and programs

  • Must be able to lift and/or move objects with a weight of 20 to 70 lbs

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

The wage range of $15.00 - $18.00 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
