About this role

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and organizes office operations and procedures, such as word processing, spreadsheets and flow of correspondence, filing, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.
  • Coordinates activities of various departments or workers within department.
  • Evaluates transportation department, updates procedures, or devises new forms to improve efficiency of workflow.
  • This position is similar to an Office Supervisor, but scope of unit supervised typically involves a larger number of employees and more varied office activities.
  • Reviews clerical and personnel records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Plans and coordinates all scheduling with customers, drivers and escorts.
  • Prepares activities reports for management to determine what is scheduled to be shipped.
  • Assist with ordering permits
  • Coordinates DOT requirements and compliance.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and dependable.
  • Excellent phone skills with positive and pleasant personality.
  • Requires being on the phone regularly and outside of normal business hours.
  • Escorting homes, delivering materials, inspecting and completing work at the jobsite.
  • Must have good background check, valid driver's license and good driving record.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 year Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Self starter with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a complex deadline-oriented environment
  • Fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Experience with DOT regulations preferred
