About the Role

We are looking for an experienced PM4 Stock Shift Operator to lead stock preparation operations and ensure a consistent supply of high-quality stock to the paper machine. The role is responsible for maintaining process stability, optimizing fiber utilization, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of quality stock to the paper machine for smooth production.
  • Monitor and control stock preparation processes to maintain consistency and process stability.
  • Manage fiber preparation, raw material mixing ratios, and furnish quality as per production requirements.
  • Monitor refining operations, freeness, and stock quality parameters to achieve desired paper properties.
  • Control chemical and additive dosing while optimizing consumption and maintaining product quality.
  • Support wet-end process performance, including retention, drainage, formation, and basis weight stability.
  • Monitor process parameters, identify abnormalities, and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Supervise pumps, agitators, screens, chests, and other stock preparation equipment while coordinating preventive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, LOTO, TPM, 6S, and workplace housekeeping standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce process losses, improve fiber yield, and optimize operating costs.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of stock preparation operations.
  • Expertise in refining and stock quality control.
  • Knowledge of chemical dosing systems and process additives.
  • Good understanding of wet-end processes and paper machine operations.
  • Equipment monitoring and maintenance coordination.
  • Knowledge of TPM, 6S, CLTI, and workplace safety practices.
