Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Public Spaces Attendant and play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for all visitors. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for ensuring that public areas are spotless, well-maintained, and adhere to the highest standards of sanitation and safety. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create an inviting atmosphere that enhances guest experiences and promotes overall safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning of public spaces, including floors, lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
  • Handle cleaning tasks with various chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a secure environment.
  • Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment as needed to facilitate thorough sanitation.
  • Maintain cleanliness through vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and other janitorial activities aligned with hospitality standards.
  • Use industrial cleaning tools and equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Respond promptly to any sanitation or safety concerns raised by guests or staff, following hotel emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging politely with guests and staff, addressing inquiries related to public spaces or cleanliness issues.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in janitorial work, industrial cleaning, or hotel housekeeping management is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with floor care techniques including stripping, sealing, waxing, and buffing floors.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure safe use of cleaning agents.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks comfortably and safely.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Previous hotel housekeeping experience or custodial experience is advantageous.
  • Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards within hospitality environments.
