Job Overview
Pace Transportation is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring a clean and safe warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, be comfortable with physical labor, and work effectively as part of a team.
Core Functions
- Receive incoming products, verify quantities and conditions, and update inventory records accordingly.
- Conduct quality checks on received products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
- Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and maintain up-to-date records.
- Participate in the Annual Physical Inventory at the end of the year.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as required.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet productivity goals.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies and Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse or logistics operations preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.
- Comfortable operating machinery and handling materials safely.
