This role bridges service delivery and program coordination, offering leadership within the Resident Services Navigator team and assisting with operational, training, and documentation tasks.
Schedule: Thursday 10pm – 9am, Friday 1030pm-9am Saturday 1030pm-9am
Essential Duties
Resident Support and Programming
Build positive relationships with youth aged 18–24 through mentoring, role modeling, and empowerment.
Be available on-site for residents, providing crisis intervention and counseling when needed.
Assist residents in achieving their Service Plan goals through individual coaching, group activities, and workshops.
Facilitate self-governance through resident-led meetings and skill-building activities.
Monitor resident compliance with program agreements and provide feedback or interventions as necessary.
Engage residents in life skills building through individual coaching and group activities.
Provide support for youth to accomplish the goals identified in their Service Plan.
Provide individualized support to youth by serving as a Contact Person, meeting with youth weekly to develop and monitor plans to accomplish goals and meet program expectations.
Monitor youth compliance with program agreements.
Administrative and Operational Support
Support the Housing Program Manager and Operations Supervisor with maintaining program operations, including staffing coverage and material resources.
Assist in developing, updating, and implementing program policies, procedures, and safety practices.
Coordinate facility upkeep by identifying maintenance needs, submitting repair requests, and following through on their completion.
Complete all assigned administrative projects to further program development of Transitional Housing at Outside In.
Staff Training and Coordination
Serve as a lead staff member within the Resident Services Navigator team, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
Train and onboard new staff, ensuring familiarity with program policies, safety practices, and service expectations.
Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to Navigator staff, fostering professional growth and alignment with program goals.
Facilitate team communication and collaboration, including effective facilitation of team meetings and staff debriefs.
Program and System Coordination
Partner with the Determinations Team to coordinate service delivery, ensure equitable decision-making, and resolve escalated cases.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all client-facing interactions, shift logs, and interventions.
Work with case managers and external resources to remove barriers to resident success and enhance service delivery.
Gather and report outcomes data to support program evaluation and ensure compliance with funder and organizational requirements.
QualificationsQualifications
Education and Experience
At least 2 years of experience working with youth populations, preferably in housing, residential services, or mental health.
Thorough understanding of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and positive youth development principles.
Administrative experience, including policy implementation and program reporting, is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong communication, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently while maintaining professional boundaries.
Competency with computer-based tools, including databases, MS Office Suite, and electronic health records.
Capacity to balance direct service delivery with administrative tasks effectively.
Working Conditions and Requirements
On-site presence required at the Transitional Living Program facility.
Participation in an on-call rotation for emergency staffing and crisis intervention.
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
