About this role

Overview

Responsibilities

Responsible for executing a variety of roles within the procure-to-pay cycle for all commodity, capital and service categories employing established department protocols. Work is generally preformed independently requiring professional judgement, attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. The typical duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Customer liaison duties ensuring supply and service requests are sourced within system standards utilizing preferred products and suppliers.
  • Order placement and expediting.
  • Sourcing and purchase of minor equipment and capital project requests.
  • Supplier evaluations, invoice resolution and problem solving.
  • Identifying cost reduction opportunities.
  • Continuous participation in purchasing strategies that advocate Lean Management and standard work protocols.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required in a related field, such as business administration, supply chain logistics, purchasing OR equivalent experience (Legacy Health employees only). CMRP, CPSM certification desired.

 

Experience:

Minimum of two years of purchasing or supply logistics experience preferably in a healthcare setting. Equivalent experience and education will be considered. Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system preferred.

 

Knowledge/Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills that encourage effective working relationships.

Demonstrated understanding of purchasing, materials management and account payable terms and principals.

Solid customer-support aptitude utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to use professional judgment, prioritize responsibilities/workload and meet deadlines, and apply chain-of-command communication protocols.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Pay Range

USD $29.89 - USD $42.74 /Hr.
