Position Overview

 

Responsible for leading and optimizing multi-store retail operations to ensure operational excellence, compliance with company policies and procedures, inventory integrity, asset protection, cost control, and consistent execution of brand standards. Partners closely with store leadership and corporate functions to drive business performance, implement operational initiatives, support store projects, and ensure exceptional customer experience across all locations.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Retail Operations Management

  • Oversee and support daily operations across multiple store locations, ensuring alignment with company standards, brand guidelines, and department store requirements.
  • Lead operational execution for store openings, relocations, remodels, and closures.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, health and safety requirements, and operational standards.

 

Policies, Procedures & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, communicate, and monitor operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct store visits and operational audits to ensure consistency, compliance, and effective execution.
  • Ensure store teams maintain up-to-date knowledge of operational policies and corporate initiatives.
  • Act as the primary operational resource for Store Managers and leadership teams.

 

Inventory Control, Security & Asset Protection

  • Oversee inventory management processes, including stock control, cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, transfers, and merchandise movements.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory and stockroom procedures across all locations.
  • Partner with Loss Prevention and security providers to minimize shrinkage and safeguard company assets, employees, and customers.
  • Monitor compliance with risk management, cash control, physical security, and loss prevention programs.

 

Financial & Business Performance

  • Support expense management and cost-control initiatives across the retail network.
  • Review operational and financial performance indicators and recommend actions to improve results.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost optimization.
  • Maintain operational dashboards and reporting tools to track performance, compliance, and project progress.

 

Project Management & Operational Excellence

  • Lead operational improvement initiatives, process standardization projects, and cross-functional business initiatives.
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers to support operational requirements and store projects.
  • Support implementation of new technologies, systems, CRM initiatives, and operational tools.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of store equipment, systems, and operational infrastructure.

 

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and operational guidance to store management teams.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development initiatives.
  • Drive engagement, accountability, and a culture of operational excellence throughout the organization.
  • Ensure effective communication of company objectives, policies, and operational priorities.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Retail, Finance, HR, IT, CRM, Visual Merchandising, Inventory Control, Loss Prevention, Facilities, and other corporate functions.
  • Manage relationships with department store partners, including Palacio de Hierro, and ensure compliance with their operational requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between stores and corporate teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of business initiatives.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in multi-unit retail operations management; luxury, fashion, or lifestyle retail experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory control, compliance, asset protection, and store project management.
  • Experience developing and implementing operational policies, procedures, and process improvements.
  • Strong financial, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with POS, ERP, CRM, and retail systems preferred.
  • Fluent English.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
