Post Doctoral Scholar - Computation and AI

Department:

Engineering | Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Conducts research and development efforts as a Post Doctoral Scholar in the laboratory led by Professor Kang Xu.

The Post Doctoral Scholar will focus on computation and simulation of electrolyte and interface in electrochemical devices. Candidates should have skills in performing DFT calculations, MD simulation and AIMD calculations.

The skills in force-field construction, machine-learning and other AI expertise such as LLM training or diffusion model construction will be preferred.

The postdoc will prepare and document data resulting from these studies and report to sponsors; prepare research results and reports, conference and journal papers, and technical presentations; assist in mentoring student employees in the laboratory; attend research group and unit meetings. In the first year the postdoc scholar will also assist the supervisor to set up the laboratory and acquire new equipment and instruments.
