🚶♂️ Position Summary
As a Patient Transporter, you’ll play a vital role in the patient experience—ensuring safe, timely, and compassionate transport throughout the hospital.
You’ll work both independently and as part of a team to move patients, equipment, and supplies while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- 🏥 Safely transport patients throughout the hospital
- 🛏️ Assist patients on/off beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs
- 🧼 Clean and disinfect transport equipment before & after use
- 📋 Transport charts, lab specimens, and medications (non-controlled)
- 💬 Communicate effectively with nurses and care teams
- ⏱️ Meet productivity and service standards
- ⚠️ Maintain safety standards and proper equipment storage
- 💻 Use Epic Transport Dispatch system efficiently
- 🔒 Follow HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
- 🤝 Deliver excellent customer service to patients and staff

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Basic computer skills (Epic, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
🎓 Requirements
- 📖 Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
- 💻 Ability to use hospital systems and technology
- 🩺 BLS Certification (within 90 days of hire)
💼 Preferred Experience
- 6 months of customer service OR
- 6 months of volunteer experience
