The Facilities Department plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, reliable, and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and team members. Our team is responsible for maintaining critical building systems, utilities, and infrastructure that support 24/7 healthcare operations.

As a Facilities Supervisor, you'll lead skilled maintenance professionals and technicians while helping ensure the safe operation, maintenance, and compliance of hospital facilities and equipment. Position Summary

The Facilities Supervisor provides direct oversight of maintenance operations, building systems, utilities, and preventive maintenance programs throughout the facility. This role coordinates daily activities of maintenance personnel, supports regulatory compliance efforts, oversees vendor services, and assists departmental leadership in maintaining a safe and efficient environment of care.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of maintenance technicians, engineers, and support personnel.
  • Coordinate and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with repairs involving building systems, utilities, and equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance work orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor activities.
  • Support department purchasing, inventory, and procurement needs.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members.
  • Perform and document inspections required by regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with compliance initiatives related to The Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.
  • Support budget planning, capital improvement projects, and departmental goals.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in maintenance, facilities, engineering, or skilled trades.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, utilities, maintenance operations, and regulatory compliance.
