Position Summary
Under the direction of designated staff, performs assigned duties that aid in the overall educational experience of the intern.
ORLANDO HEALTH SEBASTIAN RIVER HOSPITAL
Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital is a comprehensive 178-bed acute-care facility located in Sebastian, Florida.
A major hospital expansion in 2020 added 48 private patient rooms and enhanced surgical capabilities with
additional operating suites and procedure rooms, new preoperative and postoperative patient bays, and the latest
advanced surgical technology. A full-service ER treats minor to major conditions, including heart attack and stroke,
and the hospital has earned Advanced Primary Stroke Center accreditation from The Joint Commission. The hospital
also is accredited as a Bariatric Surgery Comprehensive Center by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation
and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP®), dedicated to enhancing safe and quality care for bariatric patients.

Responsibilities
- May work on special projects and assignments for a department at Orlando Health.
- Works with other team members on processes and procedures for the assigned department.
- Job duties will vary depending on departmental needs and individual skills sets.
- This is a temporary assignment for college students obtaining work experience.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education/Training
Must be able to demonstrate reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills typically acquired
through completion of a high school education.
Licensure/Certification
Based on area of assignment, required licenses and certifications.
Experience
Based on area of assignment.
