About the role:

Play a key role in shaping the commercial, financial and project performance outcomes of major projects within Origin’s Australia Pacific LNG business. As a trusted commercial partner to project and operational leaders, you’ll provide clear insight into investment decisions, project performance, forecasting and shareholder reporting.

Working across all levels of the business, you'll help transform project performance management by bringing industry best practice in forecasting, project controls, governance and system utilisation.  Your focus will be on improving transparency, delivery confidence and the quality of information used to make critical investment decisions.

• Lead project forecasting, investment governance and performance management across a significant delivery portfolio.
• Provide commercial insight and constructive challenge to support smarter decisions, prioritisation and value outcomes.
• Translate project performance, delivery metrics, financial storytelling, schedule and delivery impacts into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders at every level.
• Drive improvements in systems such as PRISM, automation, standardisation, data integrity and project controls practices.
• Influence how major projects are planned, funded, governed and delivered across a world-class energy business

 

What will you bring?

• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to oversee project budgets, forecasts and performance reporting.
• Deep understanding of project cost drivers, schedules, milestones and performance methodologies with the ability to improve forecast accuracy and delivery confidence.  
• Confidence to challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and provide practical recommendations that improve outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor messages from frontline delivery teams through to senior leadership.
• Experience improving systems, reporting and system lead automation through tools such as PRISM or equivalent project performance platforms.
