About this role

About Origin

Origin (previously 10xConstruction) is building general-purpose autonomous robots for US construction to tackle rising costs, safety risks, and labour shortages. Our modular, multi-trade platform combines purpose-built hardware with real-time site intelligence to navigate complex environments and execute tasks with precision. Trained in high-fidelity simulation and already deployed on live sites, our robots deliver faster execution, stronger project economics, and meaningful cost savings. Join India’s talent-dense robotics team, with colleagues from IITs, Stanford, UCLA, and other leading institutions.

About the role

As Program Manager - Regulatory, you will build and run the cross-functional program that takes Origin’s autonomous robots from engineering prototypes to compliant, deployable products. You will translate market, product, safety, and certification requirements into a clear roadmap, evidence plan, decision log, and execution cadence. You will partner with hardware, embedded, software, safety, manufacturing, legal, and deployment teams, as well as external laboratories and authorities, to ensure regulatory work is planned early and closed without slowing product velocity.

Key responsibilities
  • Own the regulatory and certification program plan for Origin’s robot platform and deployed configurations.
  • Map applicable product, electrical, radio, machinery, functional-safety, workplace, transport, and market-entry requirements across target geographies.
  • Convert requirements into owners, design inputs, test plans, technical files, evidence packages, milestones, and release gates.
  • Coordinate internal design reviews and external test houses, consultants, certification bodies, and authorities.
  • Track risks, gaps, dependencies, costs, and schedule; escalate decisions early and drive closure.
  • Maintain controlled documentation, compliance matrices, declarations, certificates, reports, and audit trails.
  • Integrate regulatory readiness into product development, supplier qualification, manufacturing, and deployment processes.
Requirements
  • 6+ years in regulatory affairs, certification program management, product compliance, safety engineering, or complex technical program management.
  • Experience taking electromechanical, industrial, automotive, aerospace, robotics, or connected hardware products through formal compliance processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of technical documentation, risk management, test planning, and evidence-based certification.
  • Ability to coordinate senior engineering stakeholders and external laboratories while maintaining clear accountability.
  • Excellent written communication, attention to detail, and program tracking.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
Preferred experience
  • Exposure to UL, CE, FCC, IEC, ISO, OSHA, machinery safety, functional safety, EMC, or radio compliance.
  • Experience with autonomous systems, construction equipment, industrial machinery, or products deployed in the United States.
  • Formal program-management or quality-system experience.
