About the role


We’re currently looking for Underground Charge-Up Operators (MCU) to join our team supporting operations in Cobar, NSW on a DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) basis.

Open to candidates based in Dubbo, Orange, Parkes, Broken Hill and surrounding areas, with travel to site.

This role operates on a 7/7 roster (day shift with occasional night shift support) and offers the opportunity to be part of a tight-knit, supportive team where safety is always the priority.

Whether you have solid underground charging experience or come from mining, civil, or heavy equipment backgrounds, we’re open to training the right people with the right attitude.

What you will be doing

 

  • Demonstrate and lead by example our core value: “Safety is our Priority, always”;
  • Operate MCU vehicles (Underground) and associated blasting equipment;
  • Deliver explosive products into pre-drilled underground blast holes;
  • Work closely with your team to ensure safe and efficient operations;
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and provide high-quality service;
  • Complete daily operational checks, reporting, and basic administration. 

What you will bring

 

  • Previous experience as an Underground MCU Operator (highly desirable);
  • Experience with Orica Hypercharge and I-kon initiation systems (preferred but not essential – training can be provided);
  • A current Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s licence (or ability to obtain);
  • Ability to obtain a Dangerous Goods licence;
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to compliance;
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
