About the role
Join our team as the Coordinator - General Accounting (Lease & Fixed Assets), where you'll play a pivotal role in executing specific tasks across designated processes and regions. What you will be doing
People Leadership
- Drive process training initiatives within workstreams.
- Drive collaboration and team work within the team/workstream.
- Ensure compliance with GBS strategies, policies, and regulations.
Process Leadership
- Collaborate on process improvement projects.
- Establish and maintain accurate Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure adherence to internal control standards.
- Serve as a gate-keeper to ensure that transactions are in accordance with set company policies & procedures.
- Take initiative to address process gaps/issues.
- Support smooth transitions and integration of processes.
Operations
- Meet KPIs and ensure operational excellence.
- Work with the business to improve BU driven performance metrics.
- Provide detailed performance reporting, including issue resolution and KPI tracking.
- Handle data recording and analysis for general ledger record-keeping.
- Perform end-to-end fixed assets and lease accounting management with minimal supervision.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance. Ensure that account balances are properly supported and documented. Propose and coordinate with the business on adjustments if required.
- Execute month-end activities, generate report, review and analyze to validate accuracy of month-end module runs.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure stakeholder needs are met within agreed SLAs.
- Represent as needed in stakeholder meetings. Lead monthly functional call with stakeholders.
- Analyze SAP aged open items and coordinate with counter-part on proper clearing/adjustment.
- Review and validate requests to ensure compliance with set guidelines and processes.
- Prepare report and analysis as required.
- Closely work with financial controlling team to address operational issues, identify and implement action plan.
What you will bring
- At least 3 years of relevant experience within the Finance / Accounting department of a large corporate organisation
- Possess strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and internal policy.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IFRS16 lease accounting.
- Well versed with ERP and other business / accounting tools
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills (proficiency in conversational and business English language both written and verbal).
