Oral Surgery Assistant for team-oriented/patient-centered Mid-San Fernando Valley Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice.
Service is an important component of this position. Our staff is friendly, positive, self-confident, empathetic, motivated, and organized. Excellent written and spoken language skills and telephone etiquette are required. Candidates must be punctual and reliable. To be a part of our team, you must be able to multitask and work proactively without direct supervision. Word processing and computer skills are required as the office is completely computerized and on an electronic medical record system. Since the office tries to maintain a cooperative work environment, this position requires a team player to assist and support other staff members and the doctors. Experience with dental implants (Nobel Biocare, DTX, Straumann) and as an oral surgery assistant is important. Treatment presentation experience and a current x-ray license. OMSA or DAANCE certification preferred.
This full-scope practice has an office staff of eight individuals who serve patients in a cooperative and fulfilling workplace. We have created a workplace that energizes and stimulates personal growth. Medical and dental health insurance and a 401(k) are included as part of the compensation. Employment hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas has a team of four oral surgeons.
Dr. Colin S. Bell, Dr. Douglas J. Dingwerth, Dr. Maxwell D. Finn and Dr. William R. Walstad work closely together to provide the utmost quality care and well-being of our patients.
Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas, practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, our doctors manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions.
Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.
