THE OPPORTUNITY
OpenText enables the digital transformation of our clients and provides solutions across the entire range of enterprise information management capabilities (EIM). Our teams excel at selling solutions that are sophisticated, secure, high-value, and cost-effective - onsite, via mobile devices, private cloud, or in a public cloud. Our EIM platform consists of comprehensive and integrated product suites ranging from data discovery, content capture, content management, governance and compliance, and archiving. OpenText consistently challenges organisations in the region to use all of their data. We listen and understand their needs and apply our deep expertise in Information Management to help them turn that data into value.

This Strategic Solution Sales Executive role is a quota-carrying salesperson with responsibility to driving growth of the Content and Experience solution portfolios within assigned accounts in the federal government space. Partnering closely and sharing bookings accountability and partnering with the Client Executive, the SSE brings deep domain expertise to create, shape, and win opportunities while supporting the overall account strategy and client relationship.

YOU ARE GREAT AT

  • Operating as a domain expert aligned to Client Executives, driving the growth of an assigned solution portfolio within strategic accounts.
  • Partnering closely with Client Executives to support Client Executives led account strategy and identify, shape, and pursue qualified opportunities.
  • Engaging directly on deals requiring deep product or domain expertise, influencing solution design and deal progression.
  • Collaborating with Client Executives to advance complex opportunities through the sales cycle and toward successful closure.
  • Contributing to portfolio selling across OpenText solutions by positioning complementary products and services where relevant.
  • Success is measured by deal influence, win rates, and overall portfolio growth within assigned strategic accounts.

WHAT IT TAKES

  • At least 5 years of proven software SaaS or license sales experience, with a demonstrable track record of over-achievement and new business wins.
  • Experience with cloud-based, on-premises, or hybrid solutions.
  • Ability to identify, develop, and navigate large enterprise businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of the client buying process.
  • Demonstrated strong sales methodologies and the use of tools to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Intellectual curiosity, the ability to grasp new products and solutions quickly, and a spirit of innovation.
  • Completed post-secondary education and a passion for continuous learning.
