Your impact
As a Senior Site Reliability Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of OpenText's cloud services. Working within a cloud DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering environment, you will develop scalable solutions, automate operational processes, and drive continuous improvements across production systems. You will partner closely with development teams, product management, client service, and business stakeholders to enhance monitoring, observability, and operational readiness. By proactively identifying and resolving issues, leading incident investigations, and implementing best practices for cloud operations, you will help deliver a seamless and reliable experience for clients worldwide. As part of a rapidly growing Cloud Application Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, contribute to the evolution of OpenText's cloud platform, and influence the future of our services through data-driven insights and innovation.
What the role offers
- Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions for large-scale cloud applications.
- Collaborate with Agile development teams to improve system reliability, performance, and operational readiness.
- Lead incident response activities, root cause analysis investigations, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Build automation solutions, operational runbooks, and deployment pipelines to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
- Work with modern cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms, and microservices architectures.
- Join a collaborative, data-driven team that values knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous learning.
What you need to succeed
- Strong experience supporting and troubleshooting Linux-based production environments and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with container technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Shell, Perl, or JavaScript, with experience automating operational tasks.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and logging tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, Zabbix, Kibana, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of application and middleware technologies, including Java-based applications, Apache, Tomcat, RESTful services, messaging platforms, and database technologies.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex incidents, work independently, collaborate across teams, and drive scalable solutions in a 24x7 operational environment.
