YOUR IMPACT
The Senior Data Center Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of data center infrastructure. This role helps ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of critical systems while maintaining operational standards and best practices. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise across infrastructure technologies, a proactive mindset, and a hands-on approach to solving complex technical challenges.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
- Design and implement data center infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, networking, power, and cooling environments
- Support capacity planning, scalability initiatives, and infrastructure lifecycle management activities
- Contribute to engineering standards, operational best practices, and technology evaluations
- Maintain high levels of availability, performance, and operational excellence across data center environments
- Manage and support network and systems infrastructure, including monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades
- Improve automation and operational efficiency through scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Ensure compliance with security, change management, and operational processes while collaborating with global teams, vendors, and service providers
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in data center engineering, infrastructure operations, systems engineering, or related roles
- Experience with data center environments, including power, cooling, racks, cabling, and core IT infrastructure such as compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies
- Understanding of high-availability environments, disaster recovery principles, and infrastructure resiliency
- Experience working with colocation providers, vendors, and infrastructure deployments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Very good English and Dutch language skills are required
