Your Impact:
A Solution Architect role at OpenText is more than just a job, it's an opportunity to impact lives by designing soutions that operate how large-scale enterprises operate on a daily basis.
You will be part of a team primarily focusing on architecture solutions across our diverse product line. You will have the opportunity to define the technologies to be used and how products will be architected for internal and public cloud deployments.
This opportunity encourages you be able to work autonomously, in collaboration with other architects in Operations as well as Engineering, IT, and Customer Service.
What the role offers:
Opportunity to provide technical vision in concert with enterprise architecture and product engineering for product design, development, deployment, and operationalization
A collabrtaive environment, with focus on working with engineering and operations teams throughout product lifecycle to provide expertise and direction on deployment, monitoring, logging, scale, security and business continuity
Create standardized solutions and architectural blueprints for application, infrastructure and backing services to ensure optimized deployment and support models for OpenText and 3rd party clouds such as GCP and AWS
You will build and establish relationships with client technical counterparts by participating in client meetings related to solution scoping and planning – As well as assisting in the creation of proposals that address current and evolving client requirements
Guide and knowledge transfer to team members, train staff personnel, provide on the job guidance and mentoring and conduct training sessions to customer personnel when authorized by management
Support sales teams in providing new solutions and pricing for new opportunities
Opportunity to acquire certification in a wide range of OpenText products - administration, programming, development
What you need to succeed:
Demonstratable understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS architectures and the ability to apply to OpenText and public clouds and on premise solutions.
Deep knowledge of mixed operating system environments, structured, non-structured and distributed data platforms, and can easily apply the concepts of one data service API to another
Have a good understanding of system hardware, storage subsystems, and networking and common data protocols and APIs
Have experience working with CI/CD pipelines and technologies such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform.
Knowledge of programming languages – JavaScript, Java, Python.
Strong experience working with relational database technologies such as Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Hold active high-level security clearance in the UK.
