YOUR IMPACT
The Technical Audit Support Developer plays a critical role in enabling software license compliance audits through the development of automation tools, technical validation of client claims, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This senior-level position supports auditors by ensuring accurate data collection, insightful analysis, and alignment of audit methodologies with licensing metrics and contractual terms.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
- Develop and maintain automation tools for audit-related data collection and analysis, with meaningful error-handling to support troubleshooting and reliability.
- Provide technical expertise during client engagements, including validating non-standard software usage claims.
- Collaborate with product management to design audit methodologies that align software usage with license metrics and deployment realities.
- Interpret licensing terms, understand the purpose and value of licensed software, and assess deployment architectures across client environments.
- Document developed solutions and facilitate hands-on demos for auditors and stakeholders.
- Apply data anonymization techniques to ensure privacy and compliance during audit processes.
- Parse and analyze log files to extract relevant usage and deployment data.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Partner with legal, compliance managers, sales developers, and account executives to ensure audit integrity and client alignment.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Minimum 6 years of experience in technical roles supporting software audits, licensing, or enterprise IT environments.
- Hands-on experience with scripting and platform-independent programming languages (e.g., Go) that support self-contained, executable code.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and commonly used services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experienced in data analysis using Excel (Advanced), with expertise in Power Query for data shaping and automation.
- Proficiency in working with REST APIs for data integration and automation.
- Awareness of Information Security principles and practices relevant to software audits and data handling.
- Familiarity with data anonymization techniques to ensure privacy and compliance during audit processes.
- Ability to parse and interpret log files to support audit investigations.
- Ability to interpret and apply software license terms in technical contexts.
- Familiarity with enterprise software deployment architectures and software discovery tools (e.g., SCCM, Flexera, Snow).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub) for collaborative development and change tracking.
- Understanding of containerization and virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker, VMware).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
- Knowledge of data modeling and normalization for structuring audit data.
- Understanding of ETL concepts for building robust data pipelines.
- Awareness of various software licensing models (e.g., SaaS, subscription, perpetual, concurrent use).
- Strong client empathy and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Basic UI/UX awareness to support intuitive tool design.
- Experience with testing and QA practices to ensure tool reliability.
- Proficiency in using documentation standards (e.g., Markdown, Confluence, internal wikis).
- Strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate technical concepts, collaborate with global teams, and engage with external stakeholders.
