Senior/Staff Software Engineer

Opal Security is building AI-native security that scales with the chaos of modern IAM, partnering with teams at Fortune 500s and fast-growing startups. You’ll design and deliver customer solutions across the full stack, owning problems from concept to production and collaborating with security and engineering teams to ensure scalable, impactful outcomes.

What youll do

• Own critical product areas from concept to production: design and build features across the full stack and make architectural decisions.
• Multiply the team’s impact: write code others can build on, establish patterns that improve velocity, share knowledge, and help shape how Opal builds.

What Opal Security is looking for

• 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Go.
• Experience at a security company or on a security team, with exposure to IAM/security problems.
• Experience at reputable startups or early-stage startups (including post-FAANG environments).
• Strong CS fundamentals; degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus.
• Located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
• Able to work 3+ days in office.
