Job DetailsJob Location: Onslow Memorial Hospital - Jacksonville, NC 28546Position Type: Full Time 1.0Job Shift: DayJob Category: ManagementUnder the direction of the Nurse Manager within the Emergency Department (ED) Service Line, the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) leads daily operations in the ED, Behavioral Health, and Patient Safety Companion departments; including staffing, patient flow, service recovery, staff accountability, communication, and frontline support. The ANM maintains a visible leadership presence, removes operational barriers, reinforces department expectations and organizational priorities, and partners with leadership and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality care. This role supports progress toward key goals, including but not limited to patient experience, quality outcomes, productivity, employee engagement, throughput, and regulatory compliance

QualificationsEducation/Certification

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

Current, unencumbered North Carolina or compact state RN license

BLS upon hire. Other specialty specific certifications such as PALS, ACLS, and TNCC within 6 months. NCI within 90 days

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a relevant acute care setting required. Previous charge nurse, preceptor, clinical coordinator, assistant nurse manager, or other demonstrated unit-based nursing leadership experience preferred
