CQI Training Specialist
About this role
The CQI Specialist is a continuous quality improvement role that integrates compliance, agency standardization, and best practices to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families served by One Hope United.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct case file record reviews, including both physical files and electronic records, to assess documentation quality, compliance, and alignment with best practices.
- Conduct on-site reviews to assess the implementation and adherence of agency, municipal, and contractual agreements within service and administrative spaces.
- Conduct supervision reviews to ensure documentation of staff guidance, support, and needs in alignment with accreditation and licensing standards.
- Facilitate peer review processes to promote reflective practice and share learning of tacit knowledge that connects policy and procedures to program outcomes.
- Review incident reports to identify trends and opportunities for growth using a solutions-oriented approach that encourages individual and group problem-solving.
- Review outcome measures and performance data alongside reviews to inform targeted quality improvement strategies and recommendations.
- Contribute to process improvement by ensuring review tools remain current, efficient, and effective with the aim of proactively addressing agency and programmatic risks.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration skills using a learning-focused approach in all communication, including but limited to courtesy notices, insights, and corrections.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client, staff, and organizational information in accordance with agency policy, ethical standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Development, Education or a related field preferred. Internal candidates with a minimum of 2 years as a Mental Health Professional will be considered.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in human services, quality improvement, or a related role. Experience in child welfare, residential services, behavioral health, early childhood development, or nonprofit human services strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally as required. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, and OHU required levels of coverage of auto insurance. Successful completion of required background checks and clearances.
