Job Summary
The Supervisor, Manufacturing is responsible for leading and optimizing day‑to‑day manufacturing operations to deliver exceptional quality, cost efficiency, and on‑time delivery. This role provides hands‑on leadership for production and logistics personnel, ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑performing operations aligned with Omnicell’s manufacturing strategy.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Production, the Supervisor plays a critical role in executing the manufacturing plan, driving continuous improvement, developing talent, and fostering a positive, safe, and accountable work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all manufacturing operations during the assigned shift, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Plan and allocate labor resources effectively, including scheduling overtime as required to meet production demands.
- Monitor daily production performance; complete and communicate shift reports and post production goals and results.
- Maintain accurate employee records including attendance, training, discipline, and accident reports; review and approve employee time in ADP.
- Drive performance management by setting objectives, coaching direct reports, and conducting evaluations within the Performance Management System.
- Ensure employees receive required onboarding, training, and development, including completion of Omnicell University assignments.
- Mentor and develop team members through clear expectations, regular feedback, and a collaborative leadership approach.
- Own equipment efficiency, order throughput, and customer fulfillment performance for the assigned area.
- Champion workplace safety by executing safety programs, ensuring machine compliance, supporting training, and leading accident investigations.
- Ensure full utilization of the Quality Management System (QMS) in daily operations and continuous improvement activities.
- Verify products meet or exceed quality standards; review, sign off, and approve Quality Control documentation per area quality plans.
- Partner with management to support recruiting, onboarding, and training activities to meet staffing plans.
- Perform light material handling, including forklift operation, to support manufacturing operations as needed.
- Manage inventory of non‑BOM expensed items; oversee Kanban programs and ensure availability of manufacturing supplies.
- Ensure ERP transactions are accurate and timely; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and transaction variances.
- Conduct audits in support of Omnicell’s Safety, Quality, and Inventory Accuracy programs
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Control systems and manufacturing best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead across all organizational levels.
- Proven team‑building capability with a focus on hiring, developing, and retaining results‑driven employees aligned with Omnicell values.
- Effective conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to partner cross‑functionally.

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
- Experience supporting internal and/or external Quality or EHS audits.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment design and utilization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- In‑depth working knowledge of SAP MM‑PP.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production environment.
- Ability to work overtime as business needs require.
Base Compensation: $67,067.00 to $100,000.00
