Reporting to the Vice President, Legal & Compliance, Private Equity & Oxford, the Director, Legal & Compliance will join the Global Compliance & Ethics team in the development, implementation and maintenance of a global compliance program and provide investment transaction support to transactional lawyers and investment pursuit teams.


As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:


Investment Transaction Support:
· Support the North America deal teams on transaction due diligence, including Anti-Terrorist Financing, Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions due diligence and Anti-Bribery and Corruption due diligence and risk assessments.
· Provide asset management compliance support and ongoing compliance monitoring.


Compliance Monitoring:
• Managing the compliance monitoring program with particular focus on the Oxford business.
• Conduct an annual review of the compliance program monitoring and assess its adequacy and effectiveness.

Policy Management and Training:
· Monitor new and emerging regulatory and legal requirements and assist with changes to the compliance program as necessary.
· Coordinate and support the development, review and administration of compliance policies, procedures and tools on enterprise-wide level (i.e., across business units and jurisdictions).
· Support the global compliance training program.

Reporting:
· Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Vice President, Legal & Compliance and/or senior management informed of the state of compliance operations and progress of compliance efforts.

Required Skills & Experience:

Compliance, Risk & Business Acumen: 5+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or related risk management roles, ideally within a regulated environment. Strong ability to understand, identify, assess, and mitigate risk while applying sound business judgment and a commercially pragmatic approach.


Relationship Management & Influence: Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across teams and business functions. Natural collaborator who can build consensus and serve as a trusted advisor to business partners.

Communication & Emotional Intelligence: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. High emotional intelligence with the ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and with sound judgment.


Execution & Problem Solving: Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Self-motivated and proactive team player who demonstrates accountability, resourcefulness, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Real Estate & Industry Expertise: Experience within the real estate industry, including real estate transactions and/or regulatory compliance matters.


Legal Education: Juris Doctor (JD) or other law degree.
