Junior Pricing Analyst
We are searching for an experienced Junior Pricing Analyst at our Singapore facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Position Summary
The Pricing Analyst will implement best-in-class pricing protocols, recommend the appropriate use of the available systems and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Pricing methodologies and practices.
Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Participates in cross-functional and system related projects as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Recommends financial process improvements, and may lead implementation of them.
- Project cost evolution and detect ingredients risks. Adjust pricing approach and protect profitability accordingly.
- Work closely with Purchasing department to establish booking of ingredients for long term contracts.
- Responds/ Support greater team on complex pricing inquiries and supports the resolution of price discrepancies.
- Regular pricing benchmark across customers and market alignment.
- Simplification of pricing processes and reduction of anomalies (manual pricing, credits...)
- Provide pricing quotation analysis for Sales management. Confer with sales and marketing teams to develop proposals and quotations.
- Help with Quote Queue when High/ Peer Review of quotations.
- Assist with the training of Global Pricing Team.
- Administers pricing databases, including system enhancement requirement gathering, testing, and validation.
- Provides mentoring and training to other partners on pricing related calculations, analysis, reporting, systems and process flows.
- May include troubleshooting system related issues and providing ad hoc reporting or analysis.
Required Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Diploma/ Degree or 10+ years’ relevant experience;
- Pricing, Sales Service or Financial/ Costing experience preferred;
- Solid understanding of general business and financial accounting principles;
Interpersonal Skills:
- Handles complex analyses with little supervision;
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make independent decisions;
Technical Skills
- Computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, email, experience with statistical and BI programs is a plus (Tableau, SAS,Minitab, etc);
- Pricing, Sales Service or Financial / Costing experience preferred;
- Solid understanding of general business and financial accounting principles;
