Main business activities of OHB Czechspace are focused on the development, system integration and supply of structural, thermal, optical subsystems, payloads, MGSE, and launcher structures, including structural and thermal analyses, mechanical and thermal design, mechanical tests, procurement and quality and product assurance activities. Since its establishment OHB Czechspace has been involved in several key European Space Agency (ESA) programmes such as planetary defence missions HERA and RAMSES, PLATO and Comet Interceptor science & exploration missions and space transportation mission NEP RocketRoll. Spacecraft Design Engineer
Your Tasks
- Development and design of the structural system of satellites and launcher parts
- Generation of CAD models of mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and parts
- Preparation of the related manufacturing drawings and documents such as design reports and handling manuals
- Active participation in the procurement, assembly and test processes
- Interaction with the external suppliers of the hardware and support of manufacturing activities
- Presentation of work results internally and to the customer
- Participation in technical reviews with our international partners such as the European Space Agency
- Support with the proposal’s preparation and evaluation
Your Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in aerospace business
- Considerable communication skills, high degree of flexibility and resilience
- Willingness to learn and take over additional responsibility and to execute trainings
- Entrepreneurial way of thinking with focus on quality and cost awareness
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a must
- Strong team spirit
