We are looking for an HR & Benefits Administrator to join our Human Resources team. This permanent, full-time position is based at our Edmonton head office and reports to the HR Manager. The successful candidate must align with our core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding for new and returning employees, including orientation support, documentation, system registration, employee profile setup, and onboarding tracking.
  • Administer employee health and dental benefits, Health Spending Accounts, disability plans, pension plans, and Group RRSP programs.
  • Manage benefit enrolments, employee changes, leaves of absence, returns to work, and terminations.
  • Respond to employee benefit inquiries and work with benefit providers to resolve coverage, enrolment, billing, and claim-related matters.
  • Coordinate benefit deductions, adjustments, invoice reconciliation, and required employee updates with Payroll.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee and benefit records and support related reporting and audit requirements.
  • Update employee crew assignments in the company’s internal timekeeping system as requested by Operations.
  • Provide general HR administrative support and perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Benefits Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in HR and/or benefits administration is required.
  • Experience coordinating employee onboarding, including documentation, orientation support, system setup, and onboarding tracking.
  • Experience administering employee benefit plans, including enrolments, life-event changes, leaves of absence, and benefit terminations in accordance with applicable plan provisions.
  • Experience responding to employee benefit inquiries and working with benefit providers is required.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar HR information system is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, recordkeeping, and computer skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
