Sales Engineer
About this role
Responsibility:
Business Development:
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building.
Develop strategies for reaching new clients and markets, expanding the company’s business footprint.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the client and the company.
Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Track, analyse, and report on sales and business development performance metrics.
Site Visits: Visit project sites to analyse the scope of work and understand project requirements.
Propose Solutions: Offer cost-effective and value-added solutions based on the project or follow client-specified methodologies.
Internal Coordination: Work with the Estimation/Operations team to prepare and submit proposals.
Material and Safety Coordination: Collaborate with QHSE, Operations, and Suppliers for material submittals, method statements, and risk assessments.
Client Negotiations: Meet with clients to discuss proposals and negotiate costs.
Handover: Transfer the project to the Operations team once the job is awarded.
Client Meetings: Regularly meet with clients to update them on project progress and manage any changes in scope.
Admin Reporting: Coordinate with the admin team to maintain records of proposals, project awards, and outcomes.
Follow-Up on Payments: Follow up with clients for payment certificates and ensure timely payments.
Maintain Client Relationships: Periodically check in with clients for feedback on ongoing or finished projects and explore new leads.
To follow the company QHSE regulation
To coordinate with QHSE & other departments on QHSE issues.
Stop any unsafe activity.
Undertake support services to correct the unsafe condition at the site/department level.
Escalate to management on safety concerns.
Ensure the workgroup under his/her management understands and follows the organization’s QHSE policy & procedures.
Ensure necessary QHSE resources are made available to the workgroup under his/her management.
Active participation in hazard identification and risk assessment.
Compliance with the organization’s QHSE policy and procedures.
