Electrical BIM Modeler
About this role
The Electrical BIM Modeler is responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining detailed 3D BIM models for electrical services including power distribution, lighting, low current systems, and fire alarm systems. The role ensures accurate coordination with other disciplines to deliver clash-free and constructible models in compliance with project BIM standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems using Revit or similar BIM software.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure fully integrated and clash-free models.
- Perform clash detection and assist in resolving coordination issues using Navisworks or equivalent tools.
- Prepare shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and installation details from BIM models.
- Ensure adherence to project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and client standards.
- Update models based on design changes, site conditions, and coordination inputs.
- Extract quantities and support material take-offs from BIM models.
- Participate in coordination meetings and support resolution of design conflicts
