Group Practice Academic Coordinator

Position Summary
Responsible to the Chair / Associate Chair of the Department of Cariology and Comprehensive Care to provide direct management oversight of assigned pre-doctoral academic administration and monitoring of many aspects of the dental student's education conducted in the dental care center. The principle role of the Academic Coordinator will include both the daily monitoring of students activity in the dental care center and long-term management of both the patient care (management of the patient pool of the group practices) and the performance of the students in the dental care center. Collaborates with dental students, faculty and clinic manager to resolve patient problems. Ensures patient records are completed; encounter forms are tracked for student academic credit and remitted to clinic management for processing.Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's degree Required Experience:3 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience in academic administration and/or supervising clinical activities. Preferred Experience:Experience in a large dental clinic operation. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Familiarity with Article 28 and related health protocols.Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $80,468.17. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
