Position Summary
The Administrator serves as the operational anchor and executive liaison for the Dean and three Vice Deans at the Courant Institute School of Mathematics, Computing, and Data Science. Responsible for high-level administrative management across the leadership suite, this position independently oversees executive workflow, strategic calendar prioritization, school-wide committee governance, and high-visibility event execution. The role acts as a primary operational interface between the Dean’s Office, University leadership, department chairs, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the school’s academic, faculty, and research priorities. Additionally, the Administrator manages complex executive communications, faculty recruitment administrative operations, including global site coordination, and special institutional projects directed by the Deans.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's DegreeRequired Experience:3+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience developing and implementing programs, projects, and special events in support of senior leadership.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organization and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels both verbally and in writing. Working knowledge of word processing; strong knowledge of spreadsheet/database software.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,000.00 to USD $80,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
