Product Engineer, Global Operation Engineering (GOE)
About this role
Role Summary:
- To be the technical owner of assigned products to manage cost, quality and related technical aspects.
- To drive and deliver products cost & quality improvement in timely manner, including integral yield improvement, test time reduction, cost of non-quality (CoNQ) reduction, and drive improvement in product quality, e.g. adopt zero defect (ZD) best practice.
Job Responsibility:
- To collaborate with Business Line for business creation and with Manufacturing to deliver a high-quality manufacturable product and test solution for meeting or exceeding the required time to market and product cost, as well as business fulfillment.
- To collaborate with Factory Engineering to resolve product-related manufacturing issue, BOM setup, product flow definition and non-confirming material disposition.
- To support root cause finding and test containment solution with 8D response on customer application failure.
- To support fab/assembly/test center transfers and volume ramp-up.
- To support New Product Introduction (NPI) characterization and qualification as well as volume production ramp.
Job Qualification:
- Master's/Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics.
- Demonstrate knowledge & application of statistical analytic skills.
- Knowledge of Microcontroller or Microprocessor basics preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player to drive projects to completion.
- High degree of flexibility in work assignments.
- High level of discipline and commitment to job, possess high career aspirations.
