About this role

Join the AMHS (Automated Material Handling System) department and contribute to the next generation of Brooks Loader control systems. Building on a newly developed hardware platform and controller boards, you will analyze the existing control system and help replicate its full functionality on the new platform.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand the functionality of the legacy Brooks Loader control system.
  • Replicate operational behaviors, motion sequences, and status handling on the new controller platform.
  • Support the implementation of diagnostics and error logging capabilities.
  • Test, validate, and document system behavior to ensure functional equivalence.
  • Collaborate with engineers and previous internship teams to support a smooth system migration.

Your Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of embedded software development and/or control systems.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive mindset with an eagerness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Interest in industrial automation, robotics, and high-tech systems.
