Position Scope
The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for an experienced Heavy Equipment Multi Operators with large earthworks construction / mining project experience.
We offer:
- 3 week on / 3 week off rotations; 12-hour days
- Fly in / Fly out
- Competitive hourly rate with Overtime pay (1.5x)
- Commercial flights and accommodations are covered
Work locations / positions available:
- Hope Bay Mine - Nunavut
Pre-access requirements may include:
- Medical clearances
- A&D Testing
- Criminal Record Check
Responsibilities
Some Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities.
- Maintains equipment in good operating condition, reporting, and logging maintenance requirements or concerns.
- Complete production reporting and other documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
- Operate other heavy equipment if required.
- Follow all site, company and client specific safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating (Loader, Dozer, Excavator, and Graders) in a road building, mining, and/or industrial setting.
- Previous experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life.
- Incorporates HS&E concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers, clients, and sub trades).
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness.
- Experience with radio communications and protocols.
