About this role
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsibilities in the current role is multidisciplinary and of techno-commercial nature. It ranges from performing scheme specific audits to supervising operations of few other scheme certification /systems.
- Responsibilities also include taking new initiatives in sectors like agriculture and specialty foods certifications.
- Travel to inspection site
- Conduct food safety audits for food retail and manufacturing facilities
- Develop and update client-specific food safety manuals
- Maintain current knowledge of food safety regulations
- Organize inspection itineraries for the upcoming year
- Ensure compliance with food preparation regulations and legislation
- Liaise with management regarding audit findings and make recommendations for improving policies and procedures if necessary
- Write reports on findings
- Provides technical and awareness training to employees regarding in-house food safety programs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree/diploma in food technology, bio technology, veterinary science, micro biology
- Minimum experience: 3 - 4 years
