Senior Associate IMPS, AEPS and NETC Design and Development

We are seeking a seasoned backend developer to drive the design, delivery, and continuous enhancement of IMPS / AEPS / NETC / CTS platforms.

This role involves building and managing real-time, high-volume payment systems with a strong focus on availability, resilience, security, performance, and AI-assisted engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IMPS/AEPS/NETC/CTS platforms
  
• Drive system improvements in performance, scalability, and resilience
  
• Ensure regulatory compliance and secure system design
  
• Own API lifecycle management and service governance
  
• Implement AI-assisted development practices responsibly
  
• Define standards for AI adoption in engineering workflows
  
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices & automation
  
• Build and operate high-availability, fault-tolerant distributed systems
  

• Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot), Microservices, Distributed Systems
  
• Experience with Apache Kafka / event-driven architectures
  
• Strong knowledge of databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, YugabyteDB, KDB+
  
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools (Copilots, AI code assistants)
  
• Experience in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)
  
• Familiarity with API gateways (Kong, NGINX)
  
• Strong understanding of performance tuning, concurrency, resilience patterns
  

Key Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience building large-scale payment / banking systems
  
• Strong background in real-time, mission-critical applications
  
• Experience managing high transaction volume systems
  
• Ability to balance AI-driven productivity with engineering rigor
  
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder collaboration skills
  

Preferred

• Experience in IMPS / AEPS / NETC / CTS or similar payment platforms
