About the Role:

We are looking for a high-impact, hands-on Manager – Finance GSC to act as the Second-in-Command (2IC) to the Head of Finance.

This role is a full ownership position, responsible for running and scaling the end-to-end GSC finance function, while ensuring delivery with speed, accuracy, and strong control discipline.

You will combine execution ownership, team leadership, stakeholder management and transformation, while driving a high-performance operating model across but not limited to AP, AR, Billing, Banking, Expense Management and Month end close.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 12–15+ years in Finance Shared Services / GSC, with min. 8 years as team management
  • Strong expertise in: 
    • AP, AR, Billing, Banking, Balance Sheet, Month-End Close, Transformation
  • Proven ability to: 
    • Own end-to-end operations independently
    • Deliver with speed, accuracy, and accountability
    • Combine hands-on execution with leadership
  • Experience in process transformation and automation
  • Exposure to M&A integrations / transitions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • CA / CPA / MBA in Finance preferred

 

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Finance Operations Ownership

  • Own and manage global operations
  • Ensure: 
    • Timely invoice processing and collections
    • Accurate billing aligned to contracts
    • Predictable, cycle-driven payment execution
  • Take full accountability for delivery, quality, metrics and timelines

 

Processing & Reconciliations

  • Own execution and completion of: 
    • AP/AR processing
    • Balance sheet reconciliations (AR/AP/Bank/Clearing)
  • Personally drive resolution of: 
    • Complex or aged items
    • High-risk discrepancies
  • Ensure robust audit trails and zero carry-forward issues

 

Banking, Payments & Corporate Cards

  • Own end-to-end: 
    • Payment execution and validation
    • Bank reconciliations and cash accuracy
    • Corporate card lifecycle and compliance
  • Ensure: 
    • Timely, accurate payments
    • Strong fraud prevention and controls

 

Month-End Close Ownership

  • Drive timely, accurate, and disciplined month-end close
  • Ensure: 
    • All reconciliations completed within timelines
    • Open items resolved proactively
  • Personally step in to accelerate closure during critical timelines

 

Speed, Accuracy & Execution Excellence

  • Build a high-performance operating rhythm focused on: 
    • Faster processing and approvals
    • Zero-error mindset
    • Reduced rework and escalations
  • Remove bottlenecks and enable fast, confident decision-making

 

Process Transformation & Automation

  • Simplify and standardize finance processes across regions
  • Drive automation of: 
    • Approval workflows
    • Notifications and escalations
    • Reporting and dashboards
  • Reduce reliance on manual effort and judgment-based decisions

 

M&A Integration & Transitions

  • Lead finance integration for: 
    • Acquisitions
    • New process transitions into GSC
  • Ensure: 
    • Smooth migration
    • Rapid stabilization
    • Alignment to global standards

 

Governance, Controls & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to: 
    • Delegation of Authority (DoA)
    • Segregation of Duties (SoD)
  • Maintain strong control environment across: 
    • Payments
    • Approvals
    • Reconciliations
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks

 

Metrics, Reporting & Performance Management

  • Define and track KPIs across: 
    • Processing timelines
    • Approval cycles
    • Payments and reconciliations
  • Build and drive data-backed performance reviews
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership

 

Global Team Leadership

  • Lead and build high-performing teams across locations
  • Drive: 
    • Ownership and accountability
    • Capability development and training
    • Strong performance culture focused on delivery excellence

 

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Partner with: 
    • Head of Finance, Controllership team and Business teams
  • Provide: 
    • Clear updates on performance, risks, and priorities
  • Influence stakeholders to ensure process adherence and timely actions

 

Strategic 2IC Role

  • Act as trusted deputy to Head of Finance GSC
  • Lead critical initiatives and operational priorities
  • Step in to drive decisions and execution at scale
